Alongside its Ramadan donation drive, the company distributed 28,500 hygiene care packages to construction workers across its UAE sites, reinforcing its commitment to workforce wellbeing
Marking the spirit of giving during the holy month of Ramadan, ALEC Holdings has contributed AED 185,000 towards health programmes supporting workers in the UAE, as well as communities in need in Palestine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The initiative brought together more than 1,400 employees, subcontractors, and partners across the Group’s operations, reflecting a collective commitment to making a meaningful difference.
The monetary contribution made by the Group was matched by in-kind donations, including dry food items and personal care packages, reinforcing a unified, company-wide effort to extend support to communities in need. Together, these efforts highlight the scale of participation across ALEC Holdings and the tangible impact that can be achieved through coordinated action.
The impact of the initiative has been amplified through ALEC Holdings’ long-standing partnerships with trusted humanitarian organisations. Funds have been carefully allocated to ensure targeted and meaningful outcomes: supporting the Relieving Palestine initiative led by Emirates Red Crescent, contributing to family support and relief programmes by Al Br Charity Association in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and enabling SmartLife Foundation’s Smart Medic programme in the UAE. The latter focuses on delivering critical medical treatments and surgeries, establishing telemedicine kiosks, and providing essential medicines for labourers.
Abhijeet Oak, Vice President, SmartLife (NGO/NPO), said, “ALEC Holdings’ continued support enables SmartLife to extend timely assistance to those who need it most, reinforcing the UAE’s values of solidarity and humanitarian outreach. Through SmartMedic’s medical camps, we are able to provide accessible healthcare services to underserved populations. This contribution underscores a transparent and impactful use of resources, directly benefiting individuals who contribute to the nation’s growth.”
In addition to the Ramadan Donation Drive, ALEC Holdings also distributed more than 28,500 hygiene care packages to construction workers across its project sites in the UAE. This initiative forms part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support the wellbeing of its blue-collar workforce.
John Deeb, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer at ALEC Holdings, said, “The blue-collar workforce is the silent force behind the environments and infrastructure we shape every day. This is one small but meaningful way we ensure that every individual on our sites feels seen, respected, and cared for.”
Barry Lewis, CEO at ALEC Holdings, added, “These initiatives are not a one-off effort, but part of a broader, ongoing commitment to deliver value beyond our immediate work. As a Group, we recognise that our position in the region comes with a responsibility to not only build, but to contribute meaningfully to the communities around us. We are grateful to our charity partners, whose expertise ensures that our collective efforts translate into real, tangible support for those who need it most. It is through these collaborations that we can create lasting, positive impact.”
By embedding community support into its wider strategy, ALEC Holdings continues to reinforce its role not only as a leader in the construction industry, but as a responsible contributor to the communities it serves.
